The Shruti Sandhaan Foundation (established recently) the brainchild of Shri Umesh Bipin, Smt. Sangeeta Khare and Ms Shoonya Khare, held its first social event on 2nd October 2023. The date was intentionally chosen to coincide with Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday. The principles of mutual respect and cooperation that he espoused among several others was the underlying theme behind honoring and rewarding the manual scavengers from M-Ward, Mumbai. They work in very difficult circumstances to keep our city and locality clean and rarely do they get a chance to come into the limelight.
The social event not only honored them but there was a carefully curated musical program (singers and students from AAS Academy) which not only brought a smile on their faces but prompted them to shake a leg too.
Shruti Sandhaan Foundation will endeavor to conduct several such events in the coming months / years using music as a medium to help / regale the underprivileged in our society.
